Be Good this Christmas

I have been wanting to make at least two Christmas cards per month. With all that is happening in life and the added stresses for everyone, I have been making my cards that have some sarcastic humor.  I think that we need to laugh and that is the only thing that we seem to be able to do for fun lately. I got a new stamp set from Whimsy with these Christmas girls and added my own sentiment. Now I think that I will be on the naughty list forever. I actually want to make a red-headed version of this same card and send it to my ex-husband, lol.

Snow be It

Well so far I'm getting my Christmas cards done at least a couple each month so I'm happy about that. This week at Christmas Card Throwdown the challenge is to do a herringbone technique. The have links for it on the site.  Lately I have been like I don't have time to learn new things, but since I can't go shopping at non-essential stores I found some extra time, lol. Since I still haven't found the desire to clean. Getting supplies right now is taking FOREVER, even with Amazon Prime. So I was fortunate that Target had some spray adhesive so that's what I used to adhere my strips.  I cut them 1/2 and 3/4 inch wide and oh my I had FUN! My sentiment is from TLC, Create. I did some die cuts and a bling and there you go!

Baby it's COLD outside

Well it's true!!! Today we have a high of -3 with some windchills that are horrible.  And tomorrow will be worse.  So it's dangerously cold.  We got another 8 inches of snow yesterday.  Today it's a new release day at Catch the Bug and I have this image of Winter Birdhouse and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I layered the snowflake and added Stickles.

Well I hope you got a chance to see what the whole team made for day 1 for the Catch the Bug Awkward Holiday Chaos and now are ready for Day 2 which is a Sketch Challenge. I always love sketches.  For my card, I used Penguins Trio Block and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added some Stickles for the snow, punched snowflakes with pearls on them and outlined the snowflakes in the image with a glitter pen.

Sending a Llama love your way this Christmas!

For this card I used the Llama Love from Imagine That Digistamp and colored it in non-traditional Christmas colors.  For the background, I embossed it and then sprayed it with several shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist so the paper has a shiny shimmer.  I made this a center step card.

Chillin

Technically this is the time of year where we are to be chillin, but we are warming and having freezing rain and having unusual weather for WI for this time of year.  Skiers and snowmobiliers are complaining since we don't have good snow for their fun.  Hopefully soon Mother Nature will get this corrected so we won't be having snow blizzards in May.
For my card, I used an image from Bugaboo and a sentiment from TLC.  I outlined the snow areas with a Sakura jelly glitter pen, which didn't show well in this picture I'm sorry to say.

With as hot and humid as it was here today....I will bite my tongue as I will say I would have like to have the flakes fly for about five minutes, but that is all.  This wonderful sentiment is from TLC.  There will be a wonderful blog hop on July 17th at 8:30am PST or 10:30am CST.  It will be Vintage Vacation with freebies along the way.
