I have a bunch of Lavinia stamps and I just love the silhouette images. I needed a couple of birthday cards so I just grabbed my Distress Oxide inks, painters tape and blending brushes and picked three colors. Then I stamped my flowers and added a cute butterfly from the Fairy Bugs set. I heat embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts.

Foil Christmas cards

I went to a Stamping Conference and got a foil machine. I was like a kid in a candy shop when I saw all the goodies that they had made and the sparkles and shine....I couldn't resist. So since there were a couple challenges with metallics and silver/gold I thought I would do a couple quick cards.  Then since I had my computer, space heater, Alexa and then turned on the foil machine I blew out my power in my office....argh. So once I got the electricity turned back on and a few things turned off I pulled out the foil.  Here are my first two cards.

Sorry I'm late on posting...I was going to set up for an auto post; however, I didn't have time to set up before I left town to go spend the day with daughter for her birthday. I spend the day with her in her classroom which I was fortunate enough to do anything this year and took a Princess cake to share with her class.  She also many times takes her dog to school on Fridays which she also did on her birthday and it is funny because he patrols the classroom as if he owns it and he is great with the students.

Violet Water Can to brighten your day

Today at Catch the Bug starts a new Saturday Challenge which is a color challenge. For my card, I used the image, Flower Water Cans - Violet along with a cherry sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added some Stickles to my flowers and the heart. Also the purple paper behind the butterfly circle has sparkles in it.  Anything that sparkles can just add some extra "happy".  With all the snow and cold that we have had this is a great card to cheer up that spring will eventually come...well maybe here in Wisconsin in June.  At least all the snow fills in the potholes in our roads, lol.

Mittens Warm Winter Wishes

This is my second card for the Catch the Bug Saturday Challenge which is a BINGO challenge.  For my card I used all the items on the BINGO and for the Player's Choice I did monochromatic and sparkle.  Last night we got snow so I will have to see how much it ends up being since it was predicted to be 3-5 inches. I outlined the  snowflakes in Sakura jelly glitter pen to add some sparkle.  The white background has snowflakes dry embossed on it.
