Today we start another challenge at Catch the Bug and being the last Saturday of the month it's a Recipe which is: 1 Ribbon, 2 Flowers, 3 Layers. For my card I used, 3 Square Floral Thinking of You and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I used the other portion of this image a couple of weeks ago. Since I make cards for my stash and my family members this one goes to my daughter who is a teacher. I have now put gift bags in my office so each person gets their cards put in their bag so I can keep track of where everything is going.

Strange Friends

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug with the theme being "Ladies Night".  For my card, I used the image Make it Snappy - Friends and then a sentiment from TLC, Create. I added a pearl to the necklace, flower centers and the corner of the card. I put sequins with some bling scattered on the card. I have lots of layers with two pieces of ribbon/lace.
I have a group of friends that I have had for 30 years. We worked together in the hospital on a Medical/Oncology unit. When I say that we have been together through thick and thin that's putting it mild. I am so thankful for them since my family lives almost 2 hours away from me. So this card is perfect for any of the ladies and I will probably make a few more.  It's funny that our nights used to be wilder than they are now, but we still enjoy spending time with each other.

Rose Embossed Birthday Card

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and it's to make a CAS card. Now I think that I have said this many times, but they freak me out with white space. And especially if it is flat and not dry embossed. So this week, I made two cards just to force myself to have to do it.  It is using the image from a set, Mini Set Roses and I flipped the one image so it would be facing the other direction. I then heat embossed the sentiment. I put the panel on a piece of patterned paper and let just a 1/4 of an inch show before mounting that onto white cardstock. Then I did one in yellow.

For a special teacher

Today is a new challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is Schools Out or Teacher Appreciation. This is one that is dear to my heart since my daughter is a 4th grade teacher. She actually won the Middle School Teacher of the Year so I am so proud of her. This is her 3rd year teaching and she had wonderful recommendations from previous parents even. Love is in the Air

Today is a new Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is Love is in the Air.  For this card I used one of the images from the Valentine pup set and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  This pup just reminds me of Gus, my daughter's TeddyBear named Gus, who she describes "as the best dog in all the world."  Now I might disagree since he chases my two Siamese cats when he stays with me.  He is good for my daughter because she is a cuddler and she enjoys doing that with him. He is sooooo spoil, if I give him an option of two toys he knows how to choose.  It's hilarious.

Violet Water Can to brighten your day

Today at Catch the Bug starts a new Saturday Challenge which is a color challenge. For my card, I used the image, Flower Water Cans - Violet along with a cherry sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added some Stickles to my flowers and the heart. Also the purple paper behind the butterfly circle has sparkles in it.  Anything that sparkles can just add some extra "happy".  With all the snow and cold that we have had this is a great card to cheer up that spring will eventually come...well maybe here in Wisconsin in June.  At least all the snow fills in the potholes in our roads, lol.

Right beside you

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug which is Naked Stamping.  I used the stamp Right beside you silhouette which I think has a beautiful sentiment.  I have a friend who is going through a rough time since her Mother that is 87 is going through some health issues, she babysits her grandsons and one developed croup this week, her daughter is struggling with post part-em depression, she has chronic back pain with leg neuropathy that has been getting worse especially with the cold weather, her daughter in law treats her like Cinderella and when she goes to babysit she expects her to clean her house, do her laundry, take care of neighbor children and all for FREE as well as no thank yous.  So I thought this would be a good card to give her to help cheer her up and get her through some rough times.
