Christmas Tree Peace

Well I used to be a DT member of Tuesday Morning Sketches and I just loved this sketch. So I made a monochromatic Christmas card using some patterned paper and dry embossing the background with stars. I used some die cuts and punches to make this quick and simple card.

Limes bringing smiles or Tequila

I have two cards that I made using a stamp step from Picket Fence Studios and then I used my own sentiments that I printed off on the computer. For both of these card I used my Distress Oxides to make a blended page using Squeezed Lemonade, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron. On the one card I dry embossed a piece of the cardstock. Lately I just have a taste for some zesty limes and I tend to add it to my water....along with some lemon, oranges and strawberries for a fruity flavored water.

Today we start another challenge at Catch the Bug and being the last Saturday of the month it's a Recipe which is: 1 Ribbon, 2 Flowers, 3 Layers. For my card I used, 3 Square Floral Thinking of You and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I used the other portion of this image a couple of weeks ago. Since I make cards for my stash and my family members this one goes to my daughter who is a teacher. I have now put gift bags in my office so each person gets their cards put in their bag so I can keep track of where everything is going.

Well as I keep working on some cards for my Mom I was having fun with some backgrounds.  I used my watercolor paper and played with my distress oxides and then added a Tim Holtz stencil keeping it monochromatic.  So I found a silly birthday saying to add and added a couple of flowers.

Bunny with Basket

I am planning to get around to blogs this weekend....this working is interfering with my crafting time. I wanted to post this card where I found an image from Mo Manning, Bunny with Basket that I colored up a LONG TIME agon and it was sitting in a pile. So I grabbed a patterned paper from TLC, Create.  I dry embossed a white piece of cardstock and then spritzed with Glimmer Mist. I added some flowers and flourishes and hid some eggs between the flowers. And naturally the bunny needed a pom tail. I did the basket in green that reminded me of the plastic ones that I had as a child.

Swing on over sometime

Today at Catch the Bug it's Friday Freebie and we have this Swinging Monkey.  For my card I made a gate fold card and have a sentiment from TLC,Create.  I added lots of die cuts and flowers too.  This kept it green except for my monkey.  I feel that this has been such a crazy week that the world has become such a juggle out there. I have been a nurse for 30 years when there was the scare of HIV/AIDS. And now people are so afraid of the Coronovirus that stores are out of toilet paper and tylenol/ibuprofen. REALLY? I don't know that some people ever cared that much about having a "clean crack" before and now they have a butt load of paper.  So they are going to be admitted to the hospital for bleeding hemorrhoids instead, lol. And are they thinking that they bought enough beer and wine to be home for two weeks? And the <other> medically necessary items that they need, sure, I don't think that weed/pot dealers make home deliveries. I know that I am joking about this but my job involves doing inpatient authorization for hospital stays and I see too many people being admitted for alcohol withdrawl and drug overdoses, which is no laughing matter!!! I just don't want us to have riots over stupid things such as Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer.

A good friend asked me to make a card for her son and daughter in law's 10th Wedding Anniversary which was on St. Patrick's Day. I used a sentiment from TLC, Create and patterned paper. The sentiment is hard to see behind all the sequins in my shaker heart. I put a sticker on the other heart. Naturally I had to include a shamrock and ribbons.  The sequins are gold and there is gold in the bottom ribbon which did't photograph well.
