I have been trying to get some male birthday cards in my stash so I used this stamp Happy Happy Happy Birthday by My Favorite Things and inked it up and heat embossed "Let's Celebrate" to make the card following this weeks sketch.

Today I wanted to make a more masculine birthday card for my Mom's stash. I found this lion in my pile which is from TLC, Create and I added a heat embossed sentiment from Art Impressions. I found some left over ribbon pieces which were the perfect colors and distressed my papers.

Rusty Tractor

For my Dad's birthday I also made some cards for my children so they could give them to their Gramps.  So my daughter chose one with a vintage tractor which is perfect for my Dad who is a retired farmer who belongs to an Antique Tractor Club. I don't even know where the sentiment is from I just found it in my stash with all my papers so I used it.  I did some distressing with ink as well as a Tim Holtz distressing tool. The stamp is something that I have had forever from Deep Red, called Rusty Tractor.

So many birthdays under your belt

My Dad's having his 74th birthday on Monday, and I found a stamp set that I had from Raisin Boat and made this card for him. I am trying to make arrangements to visit him to give him his card and present, but my Mom and him are "too busy".  So I am frustrated since my children and I are wanting to celebrate his birthday. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they are active and are able to go out and do things, but it is sad that they cannot find a couple of hours for their family.

Pretzel and Beer Birthday

I always seen to be needing masculine birthday cards and I don't have them in my stash. So when I saw the colors of the Color Throwdown I thought they were perfect, which I just didn't get my project done in time. I decided to use my Tim Holtz stamps and a sentiment from TLC, Create. For the background of the beer, I used multiple Copic markers and then the 0 blender after I inked the image to wipe away some of the ink.
