Some people don't believe in Superheroes

I made a Father's Day card using word art from TLC, Create. I distressed the word art and several papers. I punched out some stars and popped up two of them to make this card. I tried to keep it simple for a masculine card.

Happy Pawther's Day

Today we start a new challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is "The Man, The Myth The Legend".  Now I had my Father's Day card done so I made a card for my daughter's partner.  And since they have a dog together I used, Guy Walking Dog and made my own sentiment. She loved it!
On a sad note for the Catch the Bug DT, I just want to let you know that earlier this week my fellow DT member Julie Temple passed away from surgery complications. She will be greatly missed for her wonderful creations and sweet personality. Hugs and prayers go to her family.

Perfect Fit - Happy Father's Day

I made a card for my Dad for Father's Day using an image from Scribbles, Nut and Bolt and a computer generated sentiment.  I am frustrated now that I am posting it because I realize that my spellcheck changed it from "you're the"  to "your" so I am going to have to re-do the sentiment. I used Tim Holtz Woodgrain distressed cardstock and strayed it with Distress Spray.

Reliable as Dad

My Dad did a lot of work on my house the past few years; however, since I went back to work he has not been around much.  He would come with my Uncle who is younger than my Dad and a family friend and both of them have had health issues so my Dad has been left doing his own work by himself so he doesn't have time to help me.  Which is understandable since he is almost 74 years old.  He answers all my questions though.
For my card, I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the paper and used a pre-colored tool box from Dee Dee's which went out of business over 3 years ago. The sentiment is from TLC, Create. I found some cork ribbon and tape measure ribbon which I thought was fitting for this card.

Patterned Paper:  Paper Studio
Cardstock:  Bazzil; Paper Studio; Recollections
Stamp:  Dee Dee's - Tool Time
Sentiment:  TLC, Create - Reliable as Dad
Border Punch:  Fiskars
Ribbon:  Offray and Michael's

the man, the myth, the BROTHER

I made a card for my brother.  He is my only sibling and I adore him greatly.  My parents are having their 50th Anniversary Party this weekend and I am looking forward to special time with him.  This card is for his birthday and Father's Day.  The image is from Bugaboo and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  The image is this weeks Friday Freebie know as AKV BBQING so grab it while you can.  My brother does a lot of the grilling/cooking when we have a meal at my parents and he does an incredible job.

Bonus Dad

Here is the card that I made for my Dad for Father's Day using a stamp from Unity called Bonus Dad.  I inked it with Tim Holtz Distress inks and then blotted several inks around the image and smeared some water on the green and blue.
My Dad has been helping me with projects around my home, but he hasn't been around for awhile due to somethings that he has needed to do at his area.  Now, this past week we have had it in the 90s and I went to turn my air conditioning on and it would run, but I didn't have any cold air.  So I finally had someone come out today.  Just to find out that the 220 volt electricity had been turned off which I'm sure happened when the guys were doing some work for me since my Dad put new light fixtures to my garage and office.  So oops after the cats and I have been suffering for days and it cost me a visit today, argh.  I still love DADDY!

I have been meaning to sit down and make this card for my Dad and finally did it today.  I gave him his present the other day when he was over working on my house (still doing remodeling).  Since I have been little I always know that my Dad has a pocket knife on him so I thought this was the perfect die and stamp set from Art Impressions.
