Christmas Tree Peace

Well I used to be a DT member of Tuesday Morning Sketches and I just loved this sketch. So I made a monochromatic Christmas card using some patterned paper and dry embossing the background with stars. I used some die cuts and punches to make this quick and simple card.

Today Tuesday Morning Sketches is celebrating 11 years! So they are having a party with SIX prizes to give away and some special prizes. Melissa is having the first sketch she designed as the layout. For my card, I made a birthday card using a new die cut that I got from My Favorite Things.  I added some fun paper that I found on the bottom of my stash from the Paper Studio and added some twine and star sequins. I thought this would work for a masculine card which I never seem to have enough of.

Happy Pawther's Day

Today we start a new challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is "The Man, The Myth The Legend".  Now I had my Father's Day card done so I made a card for my daughter's partner.  And since they have a dog together I used, Guy Walking Dog and made my own sentiment. She loved it!
On a sad note for the Catch the Bug DT, I just want to let you know that earlier this week my fellow DT member Julie Temple passed away from surgery complications. She will be greatly missed for her wonderful creations and sweet personality. Hugs and prayers go to her family.

Well I had to make a few more coffee cards to complete the Coffee Hop.  This is from an older Verve digi set from years ago. I made the background by blending distress oxide inks on some watercolor paper. I tried to keep it in stripes for a red, white and blue effect.

This last week it was my son's 24th birthday. He is a child that used to craft with me when he was younger. Now he expects a new style/design each year for his birthday, no pre-colored images and that I would give him a hand made card naturally. Well he has been in the military, moved out of State and I just make this happen because that is what us Moms do!!!  So this year he got a pup so I made him a card using the image from Your Next Stamp, Make it Rain.  I had some gifts for him, but obviously he enjoys the cash. I had the image pop out of the card, and added some washi tape with stripes. To make it wiggle/move I used a wobble device.

I made an easel card using the Mo Manning image Feed the Birds and I made my own sentiment. The patterned papers are from Imagine That Digistamps. When you feed animals I feel that you do so because you have a genuine love for animals. Especially in winter to see them survive through the difficulties of finding food. So I think this wee one is learning how to do that and loves that the bird has landed on her head.

It's already Day 4 of the Catch the Bug Down on the Farm 10th Annual Birthday Bash and today is a BINGO using the New Release or a re-do of a previously released image.
