Winter Wishes

In trying to keep up with my Christmas cards for the month here is number 2. And I guess that they were more Winter cards. I tried to follow a couple of themes which was to use a reindeer, house, trees, red/gold, no stamping, ribbon which just fits with my own goal of using some of my die cuts that have been collecting dust. I had fun creating this scene.

Fox pair with owl

I have a bunch of Lavinia stamps and I pulled them out and have been playing with them. It's so different than my regular stamps that have to be colored, and these have to make a scene. I started with a large sun and did shades of pink/red to do a sunset. I did a hill with trees and added my fox pair and owl flying through the sun. I added some branch leaves.

Is it true?

I've had this Art Impression stamp for years and finally got it colored. It needed just a little extra sass, and well knowing me, I found it. For I am one that really only likes the white meat so I thought it was perfect. The challenge at Art Impressions is the little things well it's not the whole turkey just part of it, lol. This also has a wobbler piece so the front of the card is the butt that looks like it is running away.

I bought my own birthday present of these new Lavinia stamps. And when the technician was working on my internet I was making these cards so at least I was productive. I feel my hair has gotten this long since I couldn't get a hair for so long with the Co-vid restrictions. Now for fun, I also added some purple coloring to my hair so I am having to much fun overall with ink, lol. I made one card with sequins and one without.

Dream higher and deeper

Well here is something totally different that I did. I finally played with my Lavinia Stamps and made a scene with VersaFine ink. I made an two easel cards and on the inside I heat embossed a Lavinia sentiment and then added some die cuts and a button to have it stamp up. I just love seahorses and this Sebastian. He's so intricate.

Happy Pawther's Day

Today we start a new challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is "The Man, The Myth The Legend".  Now I had my Father's Day card done so I made a card for my daughter's partner.  And since they have a dog together I used, Guy Walking Dog and made my own sentiment. She loved it!
On a sad note for the Catch the Bug DT, I just want to let you know that earlier this week my fellow DT member Julie Temple passed away from surgery complications. She will be greatly missed for her wonderful creations and sweet personality. Hugs and prayers go to her family.

I have my second Christmas card for this month so that I keep up with the stash.  For this there is a challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown for a Silhouette card so I thought it would be perfect to use my Spellbinder die cut. I dry embossed the background and used a sentiment from TLC, Create. I wanted to add a little color so I added some strips with banners the end along with some twine and snowflakes.

We're in this together

Today at Catch the Bug is Friday Freebie and we have Lady Bug Bunny.  I made this a center step card (which is great to use scraps of paper). The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I thought it was a good card to support what is happening right now.  We feel alone, but we are all going through this new social isolation thing together.  The bunny is holding the lady bug out and the other lady bugs are keeping their distance which is just "how things are right now."  Feel like I have to walk around with a tape measure to maintain my 6 feet radius.  And with spring allergies don't DARE sneeze!!! There are plenty of jokes and funnies out there about this, but it's not funny the hoarding, financial concerns, lack of medical supplies and people that get Covid are getting VERY sick.  So stay safe and keep in contact via email, phone, Facebook, FaceTime, or how you can without getting together at this time.

Happy Anniversary...I'm only in this for....

My son and his girlfriend celebrated their 1 year anniversary so he wanted me to make a card for him. Now I think I mentioned that he is particular....and the image has to be hand colored. He likes a unique layout.  What I came up with for him is using the Your Next Stamp Sets of  Rose for You (retired) and  Cute Butt. I made a fence scene and heat embossed the sentiments which he thought was great.  So he approved.

I almost forgot to post the last card I had for the new release for Imagine That Digistamp which is unfortunate because this is my favorite card.  It is using, Raymond's Reindeer Friend, and has a sentiment from TLC.  For this card I embossed a cloud sky background and using a die for the snowhill.  I used a wonderful product to mask the snow from Molotow.
