Well with another attempt to clean my craft area I found this vintage image from TLC, Create that I had colored along with the paper I printed so I had to put it together....and cleaning was not accomplished. I just love the red and black together which is so elegant to me.

CIJ Day 7 at CTB Knobby Knees Christmas Sack

Today is the last day, day 7 of the Christmas in July at Catch the Bug and the theme is a Friday Freebie with a Color Challenge. You don't have the Friday Freebie.  For my card, I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  This is emotional since this is my Design Team post. Due to all the demands with working full time as a nurse it has been difficult to meet the requirements of all that's required for the DTs.  I have met so many wonderful people and have gained such inspiration along the way.
And the inspiration for the design for my card, came from a card that Julie made back last August after she returned from having surgery and she was so excited to return. So it's just the opposite of what I am doing, but it was also a watermelon photo.

CIJ Day 6 at CTB Stella Dear Santa note

Today it's Day 6 of the Catch the Bug Christmas in July celebration and the theme is to use an Old but Goodie image with the photo. For my center step card I used Stella Dear Santa Note.  I also put a banner with bling over the image and a charm in the corner. The patterned paper and two corners have poinsettias.

CIJ Day 5 at CTB Gus Christmas I tried

Today it's Day 5 of the Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug and the theme for today is to make us laugh. For my card I used the image, Gus I tried Christmas List.  I feel that is my list too, lol. I added Glossy Accents to his glasses and Sakura Jelly Glitter Pen to the ornaments.  Gus doesn't look too sorry that he downed a few beers, it must be his weekend binge which is like a lot of people who I know around here. Good thing he has those reindeer. I actually did a CAS card even though I just had to put a strip of patterned paper....too much white freaks me out, lol.  Welcome to A. Rose my new follower who I have seen on both my design teams and she has lots of great creations.

Rainbow Unicorn

Today starts a new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug and I just love this sketch. I used Sweet Unicorn 01 for my card.  I added a couple of extra Martha Stewart punched butterflies with some bling added to the center.  I outlined the clouds and the path of the butterflies with Sakura jelly glitter pen so I have sparkle and shine on this card also with the ribbon base. This sketch will be until July 5th since we have monthly sketches for the summer.
Now on my philosophical side, the meaning of the rainbow is of God as listed in Genesis, and the clouds of destruction. I think that we are going through lots of challenges at this time and whether you believe in God or not we need a positive focus. And I believe that the rainbow does that even if you just see it as the light that shines after the rain. I don't usually ask for personal favors, but I have a family member, Jessica my cousin who is struggling with life right now and is in the hospital. Her family isn't able to visit her due to the Covid precautions. So if you could please send happy thoughts and prayers for her, I would greatly appreciate it because she feels alone and is need of support. Thanks so much.

Strange Friends

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug with the theme being "Ladies Night".  For my card, I used the image Make it Snappy - Friends and then a sentiment from TLC, Create. I added a pearl to the necklace, flower centers and the corner of the card. I put sequins with some bling scattered on the card. I have lots of layers with two pieces of ribbon/lace.
I have a group of friends that I have had for 30 years. We worked together in the hospital on a Medical/Oncology unit. When I say that we have been together through thick and thin that's putting it mild. I am so thankful for them since my family lives almost 2 hours away from me. So this card is perfect for any of the ladies and I will probably make a few more.  It's funny that our nights used to be wilder than they are now, but we still enjoy spending time with each other.

Sheep Trio Happy Birthday

Today at Catch the Bug starts a new Stella Says Sketch Challenge. For this sample I used Birthday Ewe Trio and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added Glossy Accents to the balloons.
I know that many of you have pets and know how important critters are in our lives. I have the Siamese cats which are wonderful to have since my husband passed away and my kids are grown.  On Friday my cat, Jasmine, who we usually call Jazzy was sedate and hadn't eaten for the past 3 days so I took her to my vet. She found that she was in liver failure, but unlike humans it can be reversed depending on the cause. So being that I live in a town where they have a school of Veterinary Medicine it helps that they have a clinic. So I was able to take her in and get an ultrasound.  They couldn't find anything wrong with her liver, but thought that she had an infected gallbladder.  So I decided to try a hospital stay at the UW- Vet Hospital for the weekend to give her IV fluids and antibiotics.  Then I will have to see how she responds. Today I was told that her labs were better, but still severely elevated, but she is eating. So prayers and positive thoughts for my little girl would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
