Sweet Holiday Wishes

I haven't done much posting, because I have been cleaning my house which I really have neglected for quite some time. I always had an excuse, work, design teams and I just needed to get it done. Now that I have been working from home, it was driving me crazy to have my office be the only clean area. I found cards that I started and just never finished and here is one of them. I had this pre-colored image from Paper Shelter and had some liquid pearls on it. So I put it together with some papers I embossed and distressed and a left over piece of Christmas paper that I don't even know who the maker is and now this is how I feel after doing my cleaning, lol.

Patriotic Eagle and Flag Vintage

I have a bunch of vintage images from TLC,Create and I just don't get a chance to play with them as much as I would like. Since it's Memorial Day Weekend I was inspired to use this wonderful eagle. I was able to pull out some buttons, ribbons, twine, hemp and do some distressing.

Rusty Tractor

For my Dad's birthday I also made some cards for my children so they could give them to their Gramps.  So my daughter chose one with a vintage tractor which is perfect for my Dad who is a retired farmer who belongs to an Antique Tractor Club. I don't even know where the sentiment is from I just found it in my stash with all my papers so I used it.  I did some distressing with ink as well as a Tim Holtz distressing tool. The stamp is something that I have had forever from Deep Red, called Rusty Tractor.

Today at Catch the Bug is Thursday, Oldie but Goodie. For my card I used, Christmas word - Jesus. I distressed my patterned paper and added some turquoise snowflakes with bling. I like the non-traditional Christmas colors which are the Christmas Card Throwdown colors for this week.

Cheesiest Valentine card I could find

Since I am on the Bugaboo and TLC, Create DT the majority of the cards that I make have images from those makers.  So I pulled out some images that I had colored quite sometime ago, that are NOT from either of those, but from Just Me.  For this card, I dry embossed the background and rubbed it with sandpaper.

Today I'm a glad to be a GDT member for CRAFT Challenge 439 which is to add Ribbon and Distress your card.  The sponsor of this Challenge is Rick St. Dennis and my image is MAGYK Moana Witch, and my sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I made this an easel card.  I made the background paper by blending distress oxide inks.  Then on the patterned paper and cardstock on the front I sprayed it with a Krylon web spray.

Friends don't judge each other

I guess I am on a roll lately pulling out some vintage images...maybe I'm feeling nostalgic. Maybe it's because I'm crabby...I had a leak in my basement last week so I called the plumber and he said that it was the pressure tank for my well and that it needed to be replaced (which he didn't do).  So my Dad said is it like that commercial he is just the monitor to tell you how bad the damage is I guess was the truth so he put duct tape on it so it wouldn't be leaking all over the basement floor for me.  Then my Dad told me to turn the water off when I wasn't using it.  Then they didn't come back until Tuesday afternoon to remove the "bleeders" from my well line because the new tank will have them in it.  Then they came out first thing this morning.  So after they left, I finished getting ready and my master bathroom is on the 2nd floor and I couldn't get any water of the sink so I had to call them back to tell them that there is not enough pressure in the system.  So they have to come back, but I have to go help my friend babysit her Grandson because she has an appointment this afternoon.  So I'm so frustrated with the plumbers.
