Advice from a flower

Tulips are my favorite spring flower.  Today there is a Friday Freebie at Catch the Bug, using this beautiful image of Bug Jar Tulip and I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I put Glossy Accents on the vase and outlined the images with Sakura jelly glitter pen.  I used lots of buttons for all the colors.

Today is a quick post...I meant to get this done sooner, but life got crazy.  I had the image colored and finally put it together.  Since the image had books....I wanted to make a corner bookmark and followed the tutorial on making it which is the first time I made this one.  This is the progressive challenge at Gerda Steiner using Cat in Bookshelf.

Well I made it through the first week of my new job and today slept half the day away.  I wanted to make a wedding/engagement card for my stash.  I recently purchased this Splendid Swans set just for this purpose.  I used my distress oxides to make the background.

We are Strongly Bonded

I am really liking my new job, but suffering from crafting withdrawl.  Also, sitting so much is making my muscles and joints stiff and sore so that I can't wait to see my massage therapist tomorrow.  Besides getting up early and learning new material everyday is physically exhausting.  My co-workers are supportive and it is a positive work environment.  So it has been an adjustment.  I had to make a card.  I made this yesterday, but went to bed because I was too tired to post.  I played with my distress oxide ink which I haven't done in quite sometime and some embossing.  I just had to flip the side of the sketch.

Well I survived my first two days of work.  I feel exhausted though when you have to learn things. I feel badly that I have not been online to view and comment on everyone's cards.  I had a few minutes before work this morning so I put together a card from an image that I colored a couple years ago.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  This lamb is a cutie from Cuddly Buddly, Spring Lamb.

Christmas Brat Boy Stocking

Today starts a new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug.  For my card, I made a Christmas card to try to keep up with my Christmas stash.  Being from WI he is wearing Packer colors naturally.  This image is Christmas Brat Boy Stocking and I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.
Well yesterday spent the day with my daughter shopping for a dress for her for my parents' Anniversary party.  My daughter is 4'11" and has poor self esteem about her appearance.  So we disagree about what she should wear.  I know that she is beautiful and thin, and she doesn't agree so she picks out clothing that doesn't flatter herself.  She tells me that I just say those things because I'm her Mom, and if I put a picture of the dress she chose online without her hair done she would never forgive me.  We finally purchased one that is gorgeous...so now just have to get some alterations.
