Sweet winter wishes coming your way

We had actual temp of 41 so it was 50 degrees warmer than yesterday - WOW!!!  It feels like a heat wave!!!  It will only be a few days, and by Sunday we will be back down to 9 and below zero wind chills again.  People's mood changes so drastically with the weather so hopefully they will be HAPPY for the next few days.  They said it has been 40 days since we had it this temperature.
For my card, I used the My Favorite Things Sketch.  I tried to have it look like a tree with some wildlife and a winter scene.  I heat embossed the sentiment in navy.  Added some stickles on the hats and the top of the snow.

With a new year there are new sketches and here is the first one at Catch the Bug SSS601.  I am tired of all the cold already and envy my friends on the other side of the world who have the summer so I made a card using Flower Box Digi Stamp and a birthday sentiment from TLC, Create.  I put Sakura jelly glitter pen on the butterfly fly patterns and dots around the flowers.

Congrats

Well, I know we all get busy with the holidays and the end of year festivities. My daughter's boyfriend has his car die, and he had to make the "BIG" purchase of getting a car.  As a woman, who is by herself, I know how stressful it is to make a car purchase...I also feel that it is that way for a young male making your first loan and big decision without your parents help.  So I made this card for him because I know that he likes his car, but is stressed if he made the "right" choice.
This is also for the Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug which is an "Anything Goes" Challenge.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I flipped a sketch from SSW2, I just didn't add all the bling since it was for a guy.

Think outside the box

Here in WI we have had a long stretch of COLD weather with wind chills that get -25 or -30 during the night.  People have been SICK!!!  There is the head colds, nasal congestion, but also the flu.  My son lives in SC and they also got snow which is unusual and he has been to the doctor twice and off of work all week.  My step-son is also in SC and has had the flu.  My daughter was complaining of a headache tonight.  All I want to do is stay well and keep everyone away from me!!!!  On Sunday we are suppose to have a break in this weather, but then will get hit with snow.
For my card, I took a piece of cardstock and swiped it through Distress Oxide inks and then heated it and spritzed some water on it and heated it again.  Then I die cut the shape out and inked the stamps.  The sentiment is computer font.

I've been hiding from exercise

Well we are into 2018 believe it or not, and it is proven that many will make the New Year resolution to go on a diet or lose weight and by the end of December that will be broken.  Today at Catch the Bug is Humor Wednesday and I used the theme of Diet Week with the image of Frame It - Gertrude - Fitness Protection.  I put Glossy Accents on her glasses.  I pulled out some papers from a Basic Grey paper pad which also match our wonderful WI Green Bay Packers, hehe.

Happy New Year

Thanks for all your love and support in 2017 and I was fortunate to have so many blog friends and frequent visitors.  In 2017 my goal was to make 1 card a day, but I was able to post 380 cards which was 142 more than 2016 so I am happy with that.  

I can't wait to see what my friends make and have for inspiration and wonderful samples.  Have a safe and healthy 2018.  

I am lucky to share that I am a full design team member with Bugaboo starting in January.
