Hi or Quack to you

This weather we are having is just crazy. We are under another storm warning so can't wait to see what happens....snow, rain, ice.....I am just tired of the extremes. I don't mind snow and winter, but to go from below zero to well above that and then bottom back down is just too crazy.  I haven't hit menopause yet, but feel like it because of these extremes.  So I decided to make a Spring card that cheerful and hopeful of flowers.  This adorable duck image is from Bugaboo called Spring Duck 2 and the sentiment is from Spellbinder.  I dry embossed the background with a floral design.

Love is in the Air

Today is a new Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug and the theme is Love is in the Air.  For this card I used one of the images from the Valentine pup set and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  This pup just reminds me of Gus, my daughter's TeddyBear named Gus, who she describes "as the best dog in all the world."  Now I might disagree since he chases my two Siamese cats when he stays with me.  He is good for my daughter because she is a cuddler and she enjoys doing that with him. He is sooooo spoil, if I give him an option of two toys he knows how to choose.  It's hilarious.

Love EWE

Today is Friday Freebie at Catch the Bug, and today it's Love EWE.  For this card I wanted a lot of texture. I dry embossed the background, I put the stamp on a thick felt heart, I put pearls and stickers on the background as well as ribbon.
I'm afraid that this ribbon looks like the freezing rain/ice that we are getting. Now we are to be getting about an inch of snow on top of it.  It's just crazy.  They had a picture on the news of a person ice skating on the sidewalk.

Saturday starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and for the first weekend it's Anything Goes.  I actually made two samples today.  So for my first card, I used one of the images from Valentine Circle Sentiments.  For this card, I used my Scalloped Heart Spellbinder Die Cut  on a piece of white cardstock and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist to get the splatter effects. I added a heart gem and then some sequins.

Today there is a new challenge at Catch the Bug and the first Saturday of the month is Anything Goes.  This is my second sample card and it's using the Newsletter Freebie Two Hearts.  So I colored the birds with Copics and then added the clouds using a stencil and distress ink.
